Gallery J is a hidden gem in a nondescript setting. For intimate celebrations, it should not be overlooked. The interior is full of surprises from the foyer with its tiered water fountain to the old world vibe of “J Street”. J Street is where wedding ceremonies are usually held. Gabby and Nate decided to have their elopement in The Gallery Studio.
HOW GABBY AND NATE MET
Gabby moved from Brooklyn to Tampa in 2007. Nate is a native of St. Pete, Florida. They met as transfer students at the University of South Florida in 2011. Nate works as an electrical engineer and moved to Orlando for work in 2016. Gabby graduated from pharmacy school in Fort Lauderdale and joined Nate in Orlando in 2017. They decided to elope after they both settled in the same city. They live a private life and they love to watch Grey’s Anatomy.
THE VENUE
Gabby and Nate chose to have their elopement at Gallery J, the owner’s former art gallery. She even painted all the pieces! They booked the side with the grand piano for their ceremony, and it had a very nice aesthetic. The Gallery Studio is designed to resemble a Philly meets Chicago jazz bar. This is an homage to the owner and her husband’s home towns. As the venue says, it has “vintage Hollywood glamour with a speakeasy feel.”
THE CEREMONY
Gabby did her bridal preps in the elegantly adorned and adjoining bridal suite. Afterward, she and Nate had a touching first look. Accompanied by six family members, the lovely ceremony was complete with a set of beautiful personal vows. One of Gabby and Nate’s favorite hobbies is ballroom dance. They put on quite the number during their following reception at Gallery J. The elopement was capped with a family portrait session and serving of cake and champagne.
