Lake Nona Country Club is an incredible wedding venue. The expansive outdoor ceremony area is perfect for any size wedding. The backdrop of the country club on one side and the lake on the other is stunning. I’ve never seen golden hour so gorgeous as it was here. This made Lake Nona Country Club amazing for the portrait and candid sessions.
Olivia and Michael’s Story
Olivia and Michael met in 2016 on the dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel. Their first date was at a sushi restaurant. It was actually Michael’s birthday, but he didn’t tell her!
The story of their proposal takes place in Traverse City, MI. Michael told Olivia that they were going to a cider mill, but they had to walk on a little trail to get there. However, the trail ended on a dock over a lake. That’s where he proposed. Michael had arranged for a photographer to be there. She popped out of the woods and captured the moment and brought wine for them to celebrate!
The wedding was everything they imagined it to be! Olivia’s brother officiated the ceremony at Lake Nona Country Club. It was very personal, and Olivia said she was so glad they chose him. Their guests raved about the cocktail hour, dinner, and especially the incredible band. They had the best time dancing!
Olivia’s favorite moment was her first look with Michael. She feels it helped them to feel calm going into the ceremony. Having their dog, Princess, with them made it even more special. It was their first moment together as a family.
Olivia’s vision for her wedding at Lake Nona Country Club was an elegant, romantic, ivory color palette. Her bridesmaids wore ivory, which she loved because it was unexpected but elegant. The florals were a key part of her vision, as well. Olivia said flowers make everything feel romantic and magical. Her dress was a ball gown by Essence of Australia. It was not the style she originally was looking for, but the moment she put it on, she knew it was what she wanted to wear.
