Bella Collina Wedding in Central Florida [VIDEO]

The Bella Collina wedding of Nicole and Tyler was an adventure! They planned everything pre-Covid, which we all know turned the wedding industry upside down. After changing venues and dates a couple of times they finally got it firmly on the calendar. It turned out to be a very nice day with a cool temperature and sunny skies. The Bella Collina is one of my favorite wedding venues in Central Florida, so I was elated to film Nicole and Tyler’s wedding. On top of that, a top notch list of wedding vendors was enlisted, so the day ran very smoothly. Check out their Bella Collina wedding film and love story below!

HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

“Tyler and I go way back. We both grew up in the same city (Tampa, FL). We went to the same middle school, high school, and college. Our friendship started in middle school, and we had similar friend groups for years, but it wasn’t until the first semester of college at the University of Florida that we “officially” started to date. We were so close in high school though, that we were senior prom dates!”

HOW DID TYLER PROPOSE?

“Tyler’s family is from a very small country in Europe called San Marino, which is fully surrounded by Italy. It has always been a special place to him and his family. In San Marino there are three towers that resemble castles, called the Three Towers. On our 2nd vacation there together, he proposed at the top of the most famous tower, The Guaita. It was so unique and special. He really outdid himself!”

HOW DID YOU ENVISION YOUR WEDDING BEING PRIOR TO PLANNING?

“We envisioned our wedding as a huge banger! But really, our original guest list was 300 people. It was going to be full of drinking, dancing, and partying. Obviously that changed, and we ended up with about 35 people at our wedding with no dancing (besides first dance and parents dance). It was nothing like we had imagined but it was absolutely perfect.”

WHAT WAS YOUR COLOR PALETTE AND STYLE VISION FOR YOUR BELLA COLLINA WEDDING?

“My color palette was dusty rose, olive green, gold, and off white. I wanted a rustic yet modern look. My florist and all of our vendors did the perfect job to make that vision come true!”

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FLOWERS, GOWN, FAVORS, CAKE, etc.

“Flowers- mostly olive greens and off whites, with some faint pink thrown in
Gown- Pronovias, made and delivered from Spain
Favors- MASKS, of course! And personalized pens for the guests to take home.
Cake- simple naked amaretto cake decorated with flowers from my florist. The best part about it was the topper, which was a silhouette of a man and a woman kissing, and a dachshund jumping for their attention behind them, which perfectly describes our life with our dog at home.”

WHAT UNIQUE ELEMENTS OR DIY DETAILS DID YOU INCLUDE?

“I’m not the biggest DIY girl, so I opted to outsourcing that to the experts. However, my dad surprised me by adding to the decor with some of his original work. He has recently gotten into woodworking and made a couple of decorative signs for us that said “The Ericson Family” on them with a sketch of a dachshund profile, which is the type of dog Tyler and I have. Another element we added into the wedding that we thought was special was a photo montage of Tyler and I’s lives and relationship leading up to the wedding. Since there was no dancing involved to keep things safer, we had Patrick make this video for us, and we used it as a filler and it was great.”

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING DAY IN YOUR OWN WORDS.

“This is such a loaded question. It was everything we could have ever wanted and more. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out due to all the changes that had to happen. I honestly was afraid I would be disappointed in the outcome, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Tyler and I both describe the day as being a blur, in the best way possible. We were both so completely present in the moment with each other, that we felt like we were in a trance. We still talk about it every single day and how we cannot believe how amazing of a day it was. The “high” is still not over from it. The memories from that day are completely priceless and we wouldn’t trade them for the world.”

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT OF YOUR BELLA COLLINA WEDDING?

“I honestly have two favorite moments and can’t pick!

One of them is the moment I first saw Tyler as I was walking down the aisle. All day up until this point I honestly just felt “off”. It was weird- all the attention was on me, I was getting fake hair and makeup, cameras all around me telling me fake poses to do, and everything just felt so rushed.

I also felt strange because I knew the day felt different than it should have, due to COVID- and it was honestly making me sad leading up to the afternoon. However when the ceremony was approaching, I knew I was about to see Tyler down the aisle. I had a feeling that when I finally saw him looking at me, everything would fall into place and I would feel so happy. That is exactly what happened. Once I saw him, my whole heart melted and I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.”

2ND FAVORITE MOMENT

“My other favorite moment was our first dance. We had “practiced” our first dance several times leading up to the day, just to be in rhythm with each other and prevent stepping on each others toes, haha! So it felt very routine and we thought maybe it would feel the same on the night of the wedding. Boy were we wrong. It was so cold our that night and before the dance started, I was freezing and shivering so bad from our photoshoot I felt like my limbs were going to fall off. However, when we entered the reception and started our first dance, it was like everything else in the world disappeared.

I somehow was no longer cold, and it felt like Tyler and I were the only ones on this planet (aside from some blurry bright lights in the background). We were so engulfed in each other and it just felt so surreal. Both of us say that we truly felt like there was nobody else around us. It was the most perfect and happy moment either of us have ever experienced. I wish I could re-live it a million times.”

WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE THAT YOU COULD GIVE BRIDES-TO-BE?

“Keep in mind what really matters. We are living in a time where we can’t control much around us. So many things can go wrong in the wedding planning process, and they probably will. But as long as you keep sight of what really matters in the marriage, which is marrying the love of your life, it will be the most perfect day no matter what.”

CONCLUSION

If you’re putting together the perfect luxury wedding near Orlando, you really can’t do any better than a Bella Collina wedding!
